Globe 40 on credits

Dear all,

I signed up for the Globe 40 and will only use my 3505 credits (total) to sail the race...any suggestions on what to buy are very welcome!

To me it looks like mostly downwind, very weak on the first part but then gaining...so I was thinking that my best option would be Foils + Light Wind Sails + maybe Reaching Sails?

What do you think?

Probably late for the start, but for future reference,

In this case the router will run the full course around all the marks, so, just click "full pack", use the "route zezo.org" extension to get a drop-down of the whole route with sails used. Note if there is a sail package that is not used. Nice, you don't have to buy that one. Then note which ones are only used a small amount of time. Experiment with clicking a selection of sails that fits your budget and check and see which ones produce the best overall time.

If conditions change after the start, unlike real racing, you can always buy sail packages while on the course. I've done that a few times. Just start with what I need for the first day and then keep an eye on each new routing to see if you will need something you don't have. I've managed to get to the end of some long races having never had to buy some options.

That is usually right but for this race as the polar is not right, the prevision as probably false also, let us see when CVETAN corrected it.
