Cheers Cvetan, there's a 0,5 mile difference in boat speed. Charts says HS 11,6, game shows 11,1.

Thanks. Those crossover points again - for winds over 16kt HS is better than LS up to certain TWA.

It seems that the clipper (and transat) polars are too sparse for my current approach of using single static optimum sail equivalent.

what does it mean too sparse ?

I think I have no problem with PACOTOOL... Do you want any help ? CSV, interpolation methods ?

Everything is fine if you calculate the speed for given wind speed/TWA for all sails and choose the best one then. But the optimizer does 10 millions of those calculations in a single run and that would slow it down too much.

The system indicates normal sails for my boat but I have pro sails (maybe because I only have normal sails on the IER)

Hi,

Sails are set manually from the right mouse context menu, the information about paid options is not used.
