Who can tell me what the slightly larger dots (round and square) on the red and green lines correspond to?

Squares are supposed sail changes. Not very accurate with the current game version, just to remind you of the possibility.

The circles correspond to the blue isochrone lines. A quick way to check if and how much a fixed heading/twa trajectory falls behind the optimum.

the green line starts always from minute 0, in fact, if you ask zezo at minute 5 with your position you will be 5 minutes ahead of the road

Yes. The time is rounded to 10 minutes so the dots and the lines match. The game usually updates your position every 5 minutes, so the position is generally up to 5 minutes off.

@Skully62 That's a good question.

The router does not always get the exact optimum VMG angles right.

If the optimum is at 153 it may sail at 150 and there will be a false flat spot in the isochrones between 150 and 155. Always use the track tool and the polars to check the optimum angles.

One previous version included points of sail outside of the useful range and it would sometimes sail there, which is usually worse than staying in the range, even if a bit below the max.

Also, the router accounts for sail changes but the track tool does not.
А sail change makes the dots overtake the isochrones, and it may be noticeable, especially without PRO winches.
