After last vr site update, game window is like half smaller than before,are we 15 years back with 1024x768 monitors? either you play full screen or use magnifier? i got two acc. in opera and chrome opened and minimized to old vr game window size and new game window seems to be so damn small... do you know some way to make it bigger?

lol put the mouse cursor in the white part of the page. Then hold down the CRTL key and turn the mouse wheel. (Google translation)

first thing i have done, if you're using browser in full screen its ok, bun when you use it minimized the image is being zoomed and cut to top left to corner. here you got screenshots, both browser windows re same size,

That's something they could not get in 10 years - going full screen should not zoom the IT in. It should just increase the chart area.

Funny, the Dutch counterpart got it right on the first (and only) try.

they high or what? that sounds like a joke xD on a full hd monitor it looks so empty, on a 4k monitor game ui will be hard to find...

Maybe the CSS is computed differently on a 4K mac or something.

I feel in a tiny letterbox slot even at 1280x1024.

"Responsive design" means that the site stays usable no matter on what screen and device you use it.

I was a little worried after the response to Simon (see A cruel way to the lose the lead ... my submission to VR).
Is it possible they became serious in business? Will they finally do decent development and testing? Could I no longer make sarcasm about them? Will I have finally, after years, go back and give money to them???

First I want to acknowledge Zezo as a great example of a UI that maximizes usability across all devices, and that thought prompted me to click the 'thanks for making VR usable' button at the top of the page.

The VR update is typical of the results I've seen with too many commercial applications that decide to 'Optimize the display' for all devices. OK, they may become usable on phones, but for those of us that have access to larger screens it becomes a frustrating joke.

I find it very ironic that most programmer run with the biggest screens they can get, at maximum resolution and minimum text size. Yet deliver applications that are mostly white space. In the current case with VR, the useable screen area is less than 1/3 of the available area - even allowing them to keep the top and bottom banners...

I have never mad attempt at responsive design. I'm just too conservative and follow the "if ain't broken, don't fix it" principle. In fact the design is 10 years old now, with very little change over the time. Oh, and I hate using ready-made frameworks, so there is no trace of them, even the ubiquitous jquery.

The stupid thing with VR site is that the game page itself has no use of responsive design, because the web version of the game does not run on phones at all.

With the lighter UI I get more "Aw Snap" messages and have to reload the game, than before. From the task manager I learn that the VR Chrome tab now consumes more than 1 Gb of memory. Is that "light"?

I guess they mean lighter as "visually cleaner" or something.

The game starts around 600M and leaks memory as a rusty bucket, growing towards 4G.

I usually keep the game and the lobby, and the browser switched to another tab in order to minimize CPU/GPU (and electricity) and memory consumption.
