Hi,

zezo's polar graph shows the 0,3% improvement that the Hull polish option can bring.

But, as far as the routing calculation is concerned, I was wondering whether
- the option was included in the routing shown or not ?
- there was a way to select / deselect the option for the calculations ? I can't find any in the contextual menu (= right clic on the map).

It's included in the calculations when you choose the Full Pack, but it isn't an option to be turned on individually. I think Cvetan is simply assuming you wouldn't buy the polish unless you also bought everything else...

Hi
When I don't buy FullPack, I take often only WinchPro+Polish Hull and a set of sail according to the foreseen weather report.
Thus effectively the option Polish Hull would be maybe useful.
It is possible to add this option to see the difference of route with or without ?

The 0.3% difference is probably much less than the forecast uncertainty, so it does not really affect the routing.

It may matter when comparing the polars to actual speed and that's why the other tools have the checkbox, but you wont notice the difference in the router itself.

The 0,3% brought the hull polish can be significant. On the current Dubai race for instance it seems to bring as much additional perfo overall as any other single option (e.g. light sails).

I take this option quite frequently, because it doesn't cost many points.

Your software is extremely efficient and very elegant at the same time.
