Hi Folks,
I carried out a test after I made my last adjustment. I altered course but several degrees and disabled auto-angle at 17:30 CET then sat back and watched the pixels. The move took my crew energy down to 117 and it took 30 minutes of no-actions from me to gain back one energy point. Has anyone else seen faster regeneration?

Those times are a bit ambiguous. If you make a change at 17:30:00 the server will actually notice it at 17:40, the regeneration will start at 17:50 and your client will notice it at the first update after 18:00, which could be 18:09 ...
