Not recoverd yet. I'am so sorry. You won't survive 30 minutes in this kind of weather and temperatures even with a survival suit.

Search and Rescue operation continues for Sun Hung Kai / Scallywag sailor

The Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) is continuing to lead efforts to recover Volvo Ocean Race sailor John Fisher (UK), who was reported overboard off Sun Hung Kai / Scallywag early on Monday afternoon UTC.

About how long can you survive at sea:

epends on the temperature, really. Here's a chart:

Note that seawater can be colder than 0,3° C, and can actually get below 0° C. This is because of the salt. Because of the predictions above, there are things like the water survival suit:

But even with equipment like this, you WILL die of hypothermia, eventually. It just extends your time a bit mostly because of insulation from the extreme cold. But survival for longer than a few days would be pointless anyways since you'd die from dehydration within 3/4 days.
